Renoir has shown excellent skills in his artwork. He made significant contributions to the art world. He confirmed that art can hold soul and can easily depict this.

Throughout his life, he painted different things, from outdoors to indoors and people among other essential things that he made impressions. He mainly felt affection and a high level of affinity with the three students, whom he later became excellent friends with namely, Frédéric Bazille, Claude Monet and Alfred Sisley. These entered the studio a couple of months after he did. All of them had a dream of painting art that depicted life instead than that which had been kept traditionally, which was far from being. They desired to describe life in all its vitality and diversity.

The ideals that these four shared ultimately led to the quick growth of a solid friendship. Renoir’s work on this platform included works depicting these friends. For instance, he firstly painted Frédéric Bazille (1867). A year later after painting his friend, he painted, The Painter Sisley and His Wife (1868) about two weeks after the two had tied a knot. Finally, he later did a painting of Claude Monet Painting in His Garden at Argenteuil (1873). These are but the few paintings he did of his three friends.

In the early 70s, Monet and Renoir painted by each other's side and thus, produced images not only of the same subjects but also they sometimes used each other as models. They also used other members of the family as their models in the pictures. For instance, in one of Renoir's informal portraits of Claude Monet's wife Camille Monet, he painted the wife sitting on a comfortable sofa while reading. In the year, 1869, both of these artists worked together in the La Grenouille, which is a bathing spot that is found in the Seine. Both of these artists became increasingly obsessed with painting not only light but also water. Notably, it at this time their decisive moment of discovery where they discovered and developed the idea and art of impressionism, which they later grew and introduced to the world.

At this time, they found that shadows are not entirely black or brown somewhat, shadows are colored by their very surroundings, and thus, the local color of the object was majorly modified by the very light that was shed on it. Thus, the reflections of the objects and other objects surrounding it could contrastingly juxtapose the given colors. Both of them shared the passion not only of painting outdoors but also of taking trips through the countryside. Thus, they spent a whole lot of time studying the effect that sunlight, as well as the weather, had on the reflection and the shadow of the object. This later became an inspiration that led to their not only bright but also the sketchy style that they mostly made use. The image that Renoir painted of his friend and impressionism partner, Claude Monet the Reader, the beauty and the perception of the different effects of color and shadows that was easily depicted. Moreover, he gave life and soul to the painting that made it livelier as he desired that all his pictures be.
